Hello, I am Kayla

Simply put — I love, love

I'm an elopement and portrait photographer based in Alberta, documenting love in its most honest and timeless form.

My work is rooted in connection - real laughter, quiet in-between moments, and the kind of energy that can't be staged.

A Little more about me

For those who like to know the person behind the camera...

Life outside of photography is slow in all the best ways. My husband and I spend our time chasing the mountains on spontaneous trips, fishing when we can, and building a life around good food, long conversations, and cha that's never optional in our home.

He's usually the one cooking, while I'm the one with a camera in hand documenting everyday life as it unfolds. He sometimes comes along during shoots simply because he enjoys being around the energy of love stories and celebrations.

Our relationship is a blend of cultures and worlds - he is Punjabi Sikh and I am Canadian - and our life together is built on curiosity, respect, and a shared love for adventure.

When it came time to choose a photographer for my wedding day, there was nobody else I would have trusted to capture such a meaningful and intimate moment in my life. She moved throughout my wedding discreetly, while capturing super candid moments like my son twirling around, blowing bubbles and even spilling an entire glass of juice on his white shirt. Not only that but in the moments where I felt overwhelmed or anxious she made me feel so calm and relaxed, like when I was about to walk out in front of everyone and she silently whispered “slow and breathe”.

I am EXTREMELY happy with how my photos turned out. I recently did a travel session with Weech Photography. I met Kayla, the Photographer for the first time in Athabasca falls. She was very friendly, personable and professional. I am generally quite awkward, but I was very comfortable with Kayla. It was the funnest photo session I've experienced so far, and I can't wait to go back. I would recommend Kayla to anybody. I'm always nervous after photoshoots.."I wonder if the photos turned out okay" ..'did I look funny' ..."I hope they turned out"...the anxiety is real. Shortly after we got to book an appointment to go into the studio and choose our photos for the album, and WOW.
